Former supporter of Peter Obi, James Kitiya has recounted how a shift in allegiance from Atiku Abubakar to Obi significantly influenced political momentum in Lagos during the 2023 presidential election. Kitiya described the move as decisive, noting that it helped galvanise widespread grassroots support across key parts of the state.
Kitiya made this known during an interview on Vanguard News TV, where he spoke about the intensity of Obi’s campaign and the enthusiasm it generated among supporters. Sharing his experience, Kitiya said, “We withdrew from Atiku to join Obi and we supported Obi with everything and in Lagos, Obi shaked everybody.
