Kwankwaso: He wants To Be Vice President, As If We Have Not Seen A VP Before In Nigeria -Dokubo

In a recent video shared on Facebook on Saturday, May 2, 2026, Niger Delta activist and traditional ruler, Asari Dokubo, spoke about Nigeria’s political landscape ahead of the 2027 general elections, commenting on the ambitions of key political figures.

Dokubo addressed ongoing discussions about potential alliances and power-sharing arrangements, particularly the role of the Vice President in future political calculations. He suggested that the position should not be treated as a major bargaining tool in negotiations.

According to Dokubo, “He wants to be Vice President, as if we have not seen a Vice President before in Nigeria.” He made the statement while reacting to conversations surrounding Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and his reported interest in political positioning ahead of 2027.

He further explained that Nigerians are already familiar with the structure of government and the responsibilities attached to offices such as the Vice President. Dokubo stressed that the focus should be on leadership quality and the ability to deliver results rather than on titles.

The activist also noted that as the 2027 elections approach, political actors should prioritize policies and governance over personal ambition. He suggested that voters are becoming more interested in performance and accountability.

Dokubo concluded by urging politicians to align their goals with the expectations of the people. He maintained that the upcoming elections should be driven by competence, vision, and commitment to national development rather than the pursuit of positions alone…..See More
