The Kwankwasiya Has Moved; They Are No Longer In ADC As The Place Is Not Conducive For Them -Iroegbu

In a recent interview on Signature TV, Dickson Iroegbu, a political analyst, spoke on the ongoing realignments within Nigeria’s opposition parties and the increasing movement of key political blocs ahead of the 2027 general elections.

During the interview, Iroegbu stated, “The Kwankwasiya has moved; they are no longer in ADC as the place is not conducive for them.” He used the statement to describe what he called the growing dissatisfaction among supporters of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, suggesting that internal disagreements and strategic differences are pushing them to reconsider their political alignment.

He explained that the shifting loyalty of the Kwankwasiyya movement reflects deeper tensions within the opposition coalition, particularly over leadership direction and candidate consensus. According to him, these developments are reshaping early calculations for the 2027 race.

Iroegbu also noted that similar uncertainty exists among other political blocs, including supporters of Peter Obi, whose political future continues to generate debate within opposition circles. He argued that without a clear and united platform, such movements risk weakening their collective bargaining power.

He further pointed out that disagreements involving figures like Atiku Abubakar are contributing to fragmentation within the opposition, warning that sustained division could create an advantage for incumbent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
