According to a report by Nigerian Tribune on Saturday, May 2, 2026, Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has expressed that the outcome of Nigeria’s 2027 presidential election is already settled by divine will, suggesting that it goes beyond human control or political influence.
He shared this message during a workers’ gathering held at the Redemption City along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. While speaking to members, Adeboye touched on national matters and emphasized the place of faith in shaping the country’s future.
The cleric explained that although political campaigns and activities are gradually building up ahead of the election, the final decision does not rest solely on human plans, strategies, or actions. According to him, there is a higher authority guiding the direction of events.
Adeboye advised Nigerians not to become overwhelmed or fearful due to the increasing political tension. He encouraged citizens to remain peaceful, stay prayerful, and continue abiding by the laws of the land as the nation prepares for the next general election cycle.
As political movements begin to gain momentum, he stressed the importance of maintaining stability and focusing on spiritual commitment rather than being consumed by uncertainty about the future.
Adeboye also responded to remarks credited to activist Omoyele Sowore, clarifying his stance on leadership within the Christian community. He noted that his role is specific to his denomination and does not extend to all Christians in Nigeria.
He said, “Sowore said that we are not the fathers of Christians but we are denominational fathers. He is very correct. I don’t want to be father of all Christians in Nigeria. I’m satisfied with being the father of the Redeemed Christian Churh of God. That’s enough assignment for me.”……See More
