Boko Haram Went To Chibok Not To Look For Girls But To Look For Block Making Machine & Foods -Oyebode

Aisha Muhammed Oyebode, the daughter of former Head of State Murtala Muhammed, has stated that Boko Haram did not go to Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok, Borno State in 2014 with the intention of abducting schoolgirls

In an interview with Rainbow Book Club, Oyebode said the Boko Haram insurgents initially went to the school area searching for food and a block-making machine.

Oyebode said when Boko Haram began to gather food items at the school they suddenly discovered that more than 300 girls were staying there at the time. She said the insurgents wanted to kill the girls at the school but they later decided to take the girls to their leader Shakau in Sambisa forest

Oyebode also stated that she got this information from some of the abducted girls who later returned home.
