I Was Promised Charm To Use On Women But I Stopped After The Birth Of My Daughter -Aluko Reveals

According to a report by Oyinmomo TV on Friday May 29, 2026, Nigerian Fuji musician, Remi Aluko popularly known as “Igwe of Fuji” shared the decision he made when he was looking for fame.

He was promised a charm to use on women which he couldn’t use any more after his wife gave birth to a girl. He thought it was a way of God telling him not to go ahead with his plan.

The Fuji musician said he believes in the saying that “God is a God of vengeance.” At the time he started music, there was no social media and as an artist, he spent money on the wrong things because sometimes musicians do not know the right thing to do.

Aluko said music is a gift from God even though anyone can learn it and become successful. He revealed his dad was a musician but did not learn music from him. He is just gifted with it.

He revealed the artists he looked up to while growing up and how he used to change their songs to his own style.

In his words, “When I was still looking for fame, I was promised a charm to use on women but the birth of my daughter changed my perspective. I was scared. People say God is a God of vengeance which I believe and I decided to halt my plan.”

“When I started music there was no social media. I spent my money on the wrong things. Sometimes as artists we do not know the right thing to do at the right time. Things can be beyond us. Your understanding of this world is based on the level of knowledge you have about it.”

“I see music as a gift from God. Even though you can learn it and become successful because practice makes perfect. My dad was a musician but I didn’t learn music from him. It is a gift from God. I don’t teach people music because I do not have the time.”

“In my community then, when I was much younger, I would change the style of songs of musicians such as Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, Ayinla Kollington, Wasiu Ayinde, Sefiu Alao, Alabi Pasuma and Shina Akanni into my own style.

“But Obesere was the main artist in my area back then. He is the one I can say I looked up to and admire. Sule Atawewe and Alao Malaika are also veterans in the music industry. Both of them are also among the musicians I admire…..See More
