A Turkish supplier has revealed that he was forced to sell both his house and shop to settle debts after a Kano businessman failed to pay him for goods supplied worth billions of naira. The Turkish national, identified as Osman, stated that he had to dispose of his properties to pay the Syrian manufacturer who had trusted him with goods on credit for the Nigerian businessman.
Speaking on Brekete Family, Osman explained that the financial burden became unbearable after waiting for payment for over three years, forcing him to liquidate his personal assets. He disclosed that his house, which he originally purchased for $156,000, was eventually sold for $600,000, but the proceeds went entirely to settling the debt with the Syrian supplier who had entrusted him with goods.
