After My Husband’s Death, His Sisters Came To My House, Slapped Me And Threatened To Beat Me -Widow

Maria Adebusola, the widow of late Nigerian boxer Segun Olanrewaju, popularly known as Success, has recounted a distressing encounter with her late husband’s family following his tragic death.

Speaking in an interview with Punch Newspapers, she described how her husband’s sister arrived at her home, slapped her on the face, and threatened further violence, while another family member, the youngest in the household, also vowed to beat her.

The incident stemmed from a confrontation over the whereabouts and ownership of a commercial bus valued at 7.5 million naira, which the family appeared to have located and taken control of without her knowledge or involvement.

Adebusola explained that she had previously suggested to her husband that he sell the bus to fund travel plans, but he had refused, insisting he would not leave his wife and children behind and would eventually take them along once financially stable.

After his passing, she said she was unaware of the bus’s location, yet his relatives claimed to have information and proceeded to commandeer it, leaving her excluded from the process.

At least they’ve stamped your visa five times. What are you still waiting for?’ He said no, he doesn’t want to leave his wife and his children. That when he has money, he will then take all of us. So I was just shocked. Me, myself, I’m his wife, I don’t know where he parked the bus. And you, that you are the family members, you’ve gotten the information that this is where the bus is. They commanded the bus inside, so I did not see anything. The next thing the sister did was to walk to me and slap my face, while the last born in the house said she would beat me…..See More
