Mrs. Olaleye, the widow of a teacher who died while in the custody of the kidnappers responsible for the Oriire school abduction, has appealed to the government to release her husband’s remains for burial and provide support for her family.
Speaking during an interview on TVC News on Thursday, 16 July, 2026, the grieving widow made an emotional plea, urging the authorities to help her recover her husband’s body so he can be given a dignified burial. She also called on the government to come to the aid of her family as they struggle to cope with the loss.
Expressing her pain, Mrs. Olaleye said, “Please I’m begging government to release the corpse of my husband to me. Then I’m begging the government to help me. I have 3 children.” She said her foremost desire is to bury her late husband according to tradition, adding that the family has been left devastated by his death.
Her appeal comes after the tragic outcome of the Oriire kidnapping incident, which claimed the life of the teacher while he was in the hands of the abductors.
