A suspect who police caught impersonating a Nigerian Army soldier has explained how he got the uniform
In a video shared by Sahara TV, the suspect said he was from Niger State and lived at Kotoko Barracks, NDA 2 Battalion. He said his father was a soldier and his brother is also a soldier. He said his brother was shot in the North-East and admitted to the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital for treatment.
The suspect said he wore his brother’s army uniform and joined some soldiers to escort trailers travelling from Tollgate to Kawo.
In his words: “I’m from Niger State, I live in Kotoko Barracks NDA 2 Battalion. I am a barrack boy, my father is a soldier. One of my brother who is a solider was posted to our barracks but he was shot in Northeast and admitted in 44 Hospital. I wore his uniform to follow some soldiers from our barracks to do escort for trailers”
