Oby Ezekwesili, a former minister for Education has taken to her official X handle to defend the senior pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
According to the statements which were shared on her official X handle on Thursday June 4th, 2026 she pointed out that his decision to remain silent in the face of provocation was due to his spiritual wisdom.
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, it can be recalled, recently came under intense public scrutiny after he broke his silence on the rising cases of insecurity across the country.
The senior pastor, while charging the service chiefs to fight the bandits or step aside, failed to directly call on the federal government to act, an omission which triggered massive public reactions.
However, according to Oby Ezekwesili, the silence of pastor Enoch Adeboye was understandable as she maintained that the insecurity had defied human logic.
She further described the senior pastor as a role model whom she had learned the act of dignified silence.
