Lauretta Onochie, a Chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC and former presidential aide has described the party as the only credible alternative to the ruling APC.
According to the statements which were shared on her official X handle, she also pointed out that Nigeria does not need political nomads.
Her submission came amid the heated arguments that trailed the defection of the former governor of Anambra State and 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi to the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC.
Lauretta Onochie, widely admired for her outspokenness, pointed out that others (referring to Peter Obi) can chase platforms that bend easily.
However, the African Democratic Congress, ADC according to the former presidential aide remained the only credible alternative to APC.
“Nigeria does not need more political tourism or nomadic movements. It needs commitment, consistency, and character. Let others chase platforms that bend easily…” She said.
The statements from the ADC Chieftain however, generated mixed reactions as many believed her assertions were not only contentious, but politically motivated.
