Executive Director of Specs Academy Professor Okey Ikechukwu has alleged that former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar no longer finances his own presidential campaigns and would be looking out for a vice presidential candidate that would shudder the responsibility in 2027.
Speaking in an interview with Arise TV, Ikechukwu said, “In the last election, the perception for those of us who took time to evaluate these things is that Atiku Abubakar does not want to pour out his funds into these elections any longer. Quite frankly, the money for that election came from Delta State, where he picked his vice presidential candidate. So that’s where the funding was sourced. Where is he going to get it now?”
Ikechukwu described Peter Obi’s latest political move as the instinctive response of a man fighting for his political survival rather than a carefully choreographed strategy.
