Popular Nollywood actress Khafilat Adeola Yusuf, also known as Basira Bere, has revealed what her father said on the day her ex-husband’s family came to pay her bride price for marriage, while also stating why her dad said he didn’t approve of her marriage to the man who impregnated her.
According to Basira Bere, she said, “When my ex-husband came to our house with his family to pay my bride price, my dad told him that I was still studying but that he would only allow me to go with them because I was pregnant. My dad is a Muslim, and he didn’t approve my marriage to a Christian after I got pregnant. My dad never believed in Christianity, and my ex-husband’s father, who was a Christian, also said that he didn’t approve of his son’s marriage to a Muslim.”…….See More
