According to a report by The Punch on Saturday, April 11, 2026, the family of 58-year-old Titilayo Avoseh is crying out for justice and protection following her gruesome murder in the Ojo area of Lagos State.
The mother of two was reportedly hacked to death by unknown assailants on March 14, 2026. Her daughter, Comfort Sunday, revealed that her mother was found in a pool of blood with a large stick driven through her head.
According to Comfort, the primary suspects are a relative, who serves as a Celestial Church shepherd, and his two sons.
The family had been embroiled in a long-standing land dispute, with the suspects allegedly threatening Titilayo for years to vacate the compound so they could sell the property.
Comfort recalled a terrifying incident two years ago when one of the shepherd’s sons allegedly brandished a pistol at her mother.
Following the murder, the shepherd was arrested and transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (Panti), but his sons have since fled.
Adding to the mystery, a neighbor was later found unconscious and covered in blood inside his locked apartment. It is feared he was attacked to keep him silent after witnessing the killers.
Comfort, who works as a hairstylist, says her life is now in danger. “If they could enter our home and kill my mother, they could come for us too,” she lamented.
The sister have abandoned their home and are moving between secret locations to avoid being tracked. They are calling on the Lagos State Police and the public to ensure the fleeing suspects are caught before another life is lost……See More
