In an interview on Jarmaine Media, Folarin Falana, a musician better known as Falz, stated that he used to practice law at the same time he was making music
Falz said active lawyers in Nigeria are restricted from practicing another profession. He said when he worked at his father’s law firm he represented clients in court several times. He said during one court session, the judge asked him whether he was the one doing something else on the side, without directly mentioning music.
Falz stated that he replied in the affirmative, and the judge simply told him to carry on.
