Boko Haram Gave Me One Separate Room In Sambisa Forest. I Was There For 3 Weeks Without Food -Victim

According to a recent video by Lucky Udu, a man abducted by Boko Haram in 2014 has shared how he narrowly escaped execution after months in captivity in Sambisa Forest. The victim revealed that he was forced to serve as a teacher for the insurgents’ children, instructing them in Arabic under strict supervision.

He recounted being detained for three weeks without food upon arrival, surviving only on water before eventually being fed and assigned teaching duties. According to him, Boko Haram rejected Western education and prohibited subjects such as English and Mathematics.

The victim said life in the camp was tightly controlled, with armed guards assigned to monitor him at all times. He added that a student he taught later warned him of a plan to kill him, prompting a daring escape.

“I later met soldiers who rescued me. They gave me food, clothes, and took me back home,” he said. After three months in captivity, he was reunited with his family but learned that his father had been killed during his absence.
