There have been several reactions from the general public and particularly social media users after the national leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Senator Seriake Dickson provided answers regarding the questions raised on the conduct of the recently concluded primary elections.
According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle on Thursday June 4th, 2026 he admitted that while the primary elections encountered several challenges, the party was fragile, prone to mistakes and efforts will be made to tighten loose ends.
His comments came amid the heated arguments that trailed the recently concluded NDC primary elections held across different parts of the country, with many believing that the exercise was marred by irregularities.
However, according to Senator Seriake Dickson who spoke after the conclusion of the party’s second national executive council meeting held in Abuja, the NDC was on the progressive path and efforts will be made to build a strong and competitive platform.
The national executive council, according to Senator Seriake Dickson, endorsed the outcome of the primary elections and urged aggrieved members to consider the collective gain rather than personal ambitions.
Transparency, fairness, internal democracy and inclusion, according to the NDC national leader, remained the core values of the party.
