My StepMom Told Me, Even Though I’m The First Son, Do I Think My Father’s House Is For Me? -Friday

Ovie Friday, a survivor of domestic violence, says his stepmother told him he would not inherit his late father’s property and repeatedly claimed the house and land would not belong to him, deepening family tensions after his mother’s death and his father’s move to Lagos for work.

In an interview with LUCKY UDU EXPERIENCE, Ovie explained that he grew up with his mother until she passed away. After the funeral, his father remarried and later left for Lagos to find work.

According to Ovie, the problems began after the remarriage, when his stepmother started insisting she was the rightful heir and questioned whether the property their father built would ever be his.

Ovie said his stepmother kept insisting that, even though he was the firstborn son, her position entitled her to the house and land. He said the repeated comments left him feeling marginalized and hurt, cut off from his father’s legacy and uncertain about his future.
