In a video shared by Channels Television on Tuesday, May 26, 2027, Sheikh Ahmad Abubakar Gumi, a Nigerian Islamic cleric and former military officer has shared his views regarding the alarming rise in the level of insecurities across Nigeria.
According to reports, Nigeria’s president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has directed the security agencies, including the Nigerian Army, among others, to employ new measures to curb the rising level of insecurity in Nigeria.
However, Sheikh Ahmad Abubakar Gumi, the Nigerian Islamic cleric and former military officer, relayed his contributions in making Nigeria a safe place, recalling how he is still being judged by Nigerians after making bandits swear with God’s name that they will desist from their evil ways and surrender to the government.
Gumi explained that for the past seventeen years, Nigeria has employed kinetic measures as a method of tackling insecurities but yet several insurgent attacks are still being recorded.
