Dr. Adebayo Shittu, the former Minister of Communications, has openly criticized the leadership of the All Progressives Congress over the conduct of the party’s recent primary elections. The party chieftain expressed deep dissatisfaction with the widespread irregularities, structural confusion, and administrative manipulation currently threatening the internal cohesion of the ruling party across Oyo State.

The legal practitioner explained that a fellow politician misled him into stepping down from his federal university appointment based on a false presidential directive. Shittu noted that certain elements manufactured a crisis within Oyo State by falsely claiming that President Bola Tinubu had officially anointed a specific governorship candidate for the ticket.

The foundation member warned that these undemocratic impositions and the lack of transparency would severely damage the political fortunes of the ruling party in the upcoming general elections.
