Veteran Nollywood actress Lanre Hassan, also known as Iya Awero, has revealed some of the things that led to the death of her husband, while also stating why she has refused to get married since the death of her husband.
According to the video that was posted on the official YouTube channel of Feel Right News TV on Thursday, October 2, 2025, during an interview, she explained that her husband died and she became a single mother at the age of thirty-five, saying that she has not remarried since that time.
When asked about her husband’s death, Iya Awero said, “My husband fell sick a little bit, and he eventually died from the sickness. The two of us were still very young when he died. My husband died, and I became a single mom at the age of 35, and I never remarried till now.
