Bandits Were Flogging Us With Sticks And Took Us To A Hill, I Used My Last Breath To Climb It -Nsofor

Hon. Chinedu Nsofor has recounted his traumatic experience after being kidnapped by bandits while returning to Abuja for his screening, describing how he and other victims were forced through difficult terrain under harsh conditions.

Speaking during an interview on Lucky Udu Experience, he explained that the experience left him physically exhausted and emotionally shaken, noting that the difficult climb and the treatment they received from the kidnappers made the situation even more terrifying for the victims who struggled to keep moving through the rough environment.

“As we were running, they were flogging us with machetes and sticks, and they took us to the top of a hill. I used my last breath to climb that hill. At some point, the fellow kidnapped victims had to assist me and push me up because I was losing my breath. I was using the last breath I had in me to climb up that hill. It was almost like a mountain. And by the time we got to the top of the mountain, they asked us to bring out everything we had with us.”

Nsofor said the support he received from fellow victims during the ordeal helped him survive the difficult moments, adding that many of them encouraged one another despite the fear and uncertainty surrounding their situation as they hoped for safety and eventual rescue.

According to him, the incident further highlighted the growing security concerns faced by many Nigerians travelling across different parts of the country, especially on major routes leading into the Federal Capital Territory…..See More
