In an interview with The Podcast Network, Charly Boy said many people believed that his parents were the ones who disowned him but he was actually the one who disowned them.
Charly Boy said the problem between him and his parents began after he returned from America and completed his National Youth Service. He said his parents got a job for him at an oil company but he refused to accept the job because he wanted to be a musician
