According to report by NIGERIAN TRIBUNE on Wednesday May 20 2026, Hon. Sanusi Ibrahim Garacci, an All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial aspirant for Zamfara Central, has said he was unfairly disqualified from the party’s 2027 senatorial primary election and vowed to challenge the decision in court. He said he remains in the race and accused some party officials of deliberately removing important documents he submitted to clear himself.
Speaking with journalists in Gusau, Zamfara State, Garacci said the APC National Headquarters claimed he was disqualified because he failed to pay his party dues, but he insisted the allegation was false. According to him, he has valid proof showing that all required payments were made.
Garacci alleged that some members of the screening committee at the state or national level tampered with his documents in an attempt to damage his reputation and stop his ambition. He maintained that he fulfilled all party requirements and would seek legal action to defend his rights and political ambition.
His words,
“I have every documents for the payment of my party dues, but I observed that the committee, either from the state or national headquarters, has removed some of my critical documents just to blacklist me.”…….See More
