In an interview with Seun Okinbaloye on Mic On Podcast, Musawa said she and Samad have known each other for over 30 years and that they still joke a lot together. She said he is like a father, an older brother and her protector. Musawa said Samad is her ex-husband but now they relate like brother and sister and remain best of friends.
