Yoruba Nollywood actor Oyinlola Ayande Damilola has revealed that he got a married woman pregnant after she told him that she and her husband had no child.
According to the actor, he met the woman at a restaurant where she worked, and their interaction gradually developed into a personal relationship.
He told FeelRightNews that during their conversations, the woman disclosed that she was married to a wealthy man but had been unable to conceive, a situation that had reportedly influenced her decisions.
Ayande stated that the woman had taken up the restaurant job based on advice she received, which suggested that working in such an environment could increase her chances of getting pregnant.
He noted that upon hearing her story, he became involved with her without fully considering the consequences of his actions.
The actor admitted that what began as a casual encounter eventually led to a more serious outcome when the woman later informed him that she had become pregnant.
He explained that there had been no prior understanding or agreement regarding responsibility for the child, and he maintained his position of not accepting paternity.
Following the development, the woman reportedly resigned from her job at the restaurant, having achieved what she had set out to accomplish.
Ayande acknowledged that he did not initially realize the gravity of the situation until after the pregnancy was confirmed.
In the interview, the actor expressed regret over the incident, describing it as a mistake and a lesson learned.
He added that his decision to speak openly was motivated by a desire for accountability and personal reflection, as he seeks forgiveness and hopes to move forward from the experience.
He said: “I met a lady who works at a restaurant. You know, we actors, some of us like women, so when I saw her, I approached her. We got talking, and she told me that the reason she was working at the restaurant was because she had been told that if she wanted to get pregnant, she needed to work at a restaurant. She also told me that she was married and that her husband was rich, but they had no child. When she told me this, I saw it as an opportunity to have fun with her, not knowing that I was getting into a trap.”
“Later on, she told me she had become pregnant. Then she said that we never had any agreement that I would claim the child. I replied that I was not going to claim the child. Immediately after she told me about the pregnancy, she quit working at the restaurant, since that was what she had been looking for.
