Babatunde Bamgbode, a veteran Nollywood actor popularly known as Baba Fakoko, has stated that he could have become a thug if not for the way his mother disciplined and corrected him whenever he misbehaved
In an interview with Behind The Fame – African A-List, Baba Fakoko said whenever he offended his mother, he would look for people to beg her on his behalf. He said that after accepting the pleas, she would give him food to eat
However, Baba Fakoko said his mother would later wake him up in the middle of the night and flog him for what he did wrong. He said it was his mother who taught him respect, discipline, and how to behave properly in life.
In Baba Fakoko’s words: “My father does not worry but my mum if I offend her I will look for people to help me beg her and she will tell them thank you, give me food and I’ll eat it so we will sleep.
