I Lost My Husband 1961, I’m Very Emotional When I Say It, I Don’t Want Shed Tears -Violet Ladipo

Oloye Violet Iyabode Adebola Ladipo, a renowned Nigerian entrepreneur and matriarch of the Ladipo family of Lisabi Mills, has recounted losing her husband in 1961 and said that the loss forced her to assume new responsibilities, work tirelessly, and draw lessons from people across generations.

In an interview with THE SUN Oloye Ladipo said tolerance, humility and faith sustained her through those difficult years.

She acknowledged that discussing the past still stirs strong emotions, but she prefers to concentrate on the lessons learned rather than remain in sorrow.

She attributed her resilience to a combination of divine guidance, personal discipline and a willingness to learn from younger people, and she emphasized that material wealth is not the ultimate measure of a life well lived.

According to her,

“I lost my husband in 1961. I had to face my work. I worked very hard. I don’t want to go into all that. I’m always emotional when I say such things and on a day like this, I don’t want to shed tears.”…….See More
