I Was So Bullied In My First School, A Senior Gave Me Ten Buckets To Fetch Water, I Fainted -Adekoya

Versatile thespian and scriptwriter Damipe Adekoya has recounted a traumatic bullying experience from her junior secondary school days, which ultimately led her protective father to withdraw her from the institution after just one term.

She revealed that attending a government secondary school exposed her to severe bullying from senior students who took advantage of her quiet nature. The abuse reached a breaking point when she was subjected to a grueling physical punishment that caused her to collapse from exhaustion.

According to the actress, her father, who was fiercely protective of her, did not hesitate to pull her out of the school and enroll her in a private college immediately after the incident.

Damipe Adekoya said: “I went to four secondary schools. The first secondary school I went to, I was being bullied. My father took me out of it after one term. There was a time that I was inside, and a senior gave me like 10 buckets of water to fetch. So I think I fainted, and my father just said, ‘Thank you very much, it was nice doing business with you.’ From there I went to a college. I’m the apple of my father’s eyes, so whatever makes me tell my dad I don’t want this thing any longer, that’s it.”…….See More
