During a recent interview on The Morayo Afolabi-Brown Show on TVC Communications, Nigerian cleric Pastor Amos Fenwa opened up about the emotional journey that led him to remarry two years after losing his first wife.
Speaking during the programme, Pastor Fenwa explained that he was married to his late wife for 33 years before she passed away. According to him, the early months after her death were difficult but manageable as he tried to adjust to life without his longtime partner.
However, as time went on, the loneliness became more noticeable. He said that after about a year, he began to realize how much he missed the companionship and support that comes with marriage.
“I was married for 33 years. When my wife died, I tried to cope, but after some time the loneliness became very real,” he said during the conversation.
Pastor Fenwa also explained that beyond personal companionship, having a partner was important for his life and ministry. After spending many years working in ministry, he said having someone to share responsibilities with became necessary.
Two years after the death of his wife, he eventually remarried, a decision he said came after deep reflection and careful consideration.
