Our Late Father Had 9 Wives And 32 Children, Now #100M From His Land Is Causing Family Fight -Man

A serious family dispute was recently brought before Brekete Family, the popular reality radio and television programme hosted by the Ordinary President on Human Rights Radio in Abuja.

During the programme, a man identified as Ibrahim shared the story of a large family conflict that started after the death of his father. According to him, their late father, a traditionalist from Nasarawa State, left behind a very large family and a vast farmland.

Ibrahim explained that the man had nine wives and a total of 32 living children. After their father passed away, the land remained a major family property meant to benefit everyone.

However, problems began when the children discovered that some workers had started mining lithium on the land without the full knowledge of the family.

According to Ibrahim, the family first reached an agreement with the miners to receive compensation of about ₦30 million so that they could arrange proper documentation and obtain a legal mining licence.

But the situation later changed when their eldest brother allegedly handled the money alone and did not use it for the agreed purpose. Ibrahim said the brother later went ahead to lease the land to Chinese investors for ₦100 million, collecting an advance payment of ₦50 million without informing the rest of the siblings.

The disagreement has now created serious tension within the family.

Ibrahim explained that another issue is how the money should be shared. The eldest brother reportedly wants the proceeds divided according to their father’s traditional system, where the nine households receive equal portions regardless of how many children are in each home.

However, Ibrahim disagrees with this method, noting that his mother has nine children, which he believes should be considered when sharing the benefits.

Because of the growing tension, Ibrahim and some of his siblings are now asking that the land be returned until the family can properly resolve the matter.

To help settle the dispute, the host of Brekete Family asked Ibrahim to return to the studio with representatives from the nine households, while the eldest brother is also expected to appear and explain his actions so that a peaceful resolution can be reached……See More
