I Used To Meet Kayode Feyemi In Bourdillon, Who Would Lie Down Flat To Greet Asiwaju -Oshiomhole

Senator Adams Oshiomhole has recalled how former Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi used to greet President Bola Tinubu by lying flat on the ground whenever they met at Tinubu’s residence in Bourdillon, Lagos.

Oshiomhole shared the experience during an interview on SYMFONI TV. He explained that before Tinubu became president, his home in Bourdillon was a place where politicians went to seek advice and help with their political problems.

The former Edo State governor said he was also among those who visited Tinubu because he had his own political challenges to deal with. He described the meetings as visits to a doctor, where politicians took turns to discuss their problems with Tinubu.

Recalling those days, Oshiomhole said, “I went to Bourdillon; that’s where I used to meet Kayode fayemi, who would lie down flat to greet Asiwaju. And we took turns to see Doctor Asiwaju to share our political ailment.”

He also spoke about Tinubu’s ability to attend to visitors late into the night. According to Oshiomhole, he had seen Tinubu stay awake until 4 or 5 a.m. while receiving people.

The senator recalled telling his son that Tinubu was different from other politicians because of the way he treated his visitors. He said Tinubu welcomed people into his home, sometimes receiving them in his bedroom and sharing meals with them.

Oshiomhole also said Tinubu was not troubled by the activities of his political opponents, adding that the president was sleeping peacefully despite what the opposition was doing.
