Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has declared his support for the Rainbow Coalition ahead of the upcoming elections, saying the political crisis in the state has ended and that the focus should now be on peace and unity.
In a video shared by SYMFONI TV, speaking at an event in the state, that President Bola Tinubu remains the leader he is supporting. He also announced his backing for Chinda as the coalition’s governorship candidate and urged everyone who believes in his leadership to support Chinda and all other candidates of the Rainbow Coalition.
The governor told his supporters there was nothing left for them to wait and gain before joining the coalition. According to him, he has already returned to the political family and expects those loyal to him to follow the same path.
Fubara stressed that Rivers State must move beyond political disagreements and concentrate on progress. He said the period of conflict was over and that the state had entered a new phase of peace, which would create fresh opportunities for everyone.
He encouraged his supporters not to remain divided or claim to be acting in his name while supporting different political groups. Instead, he urged them to give their full support to the Rainbow Coalition.
