Byan Oluwagbemiga, popularly known as the 13th Disciple, has shared how his father’s conversion from Islam to Christianity shaped his early life and spiritual journey. He recounted that his father’s remarkable transformation came after a prolonged health challenge, leading the family into the Christian faith.
Speaking during an interview on Agbalatu TV, Oluwagbemiga on Friday, 17 July, 2026, reflected on his family’s religious background, explaining that although his father was born a Muslim, his commitment to Christianity became unwavering after his conversion. He noted that the family’s new faith influenced where they worshipped and how they were raised, describing his father as someone who became deeply devoted to spreading the Christian message.
“My dad was crazy about the gospel of Christ because he was a Muslim. I inherited his Quran. My dad had kidney stone that affected his feet so they preached to my dad and my dad became a Christian. We used to attemd the Apostolic Faith Church,” he said.
The 13th Disciple explained that inheriting his father’s Quran remains a reminder of the family’s religious history before the conversion that changed the course of their lives.
