Nigerian actress Eyiyemi Olivia has revealed that back when she used to do a lot of interviews, media people used to call her designer and she used to hate it. She stated that she used to say she keeps telling people she is not a designer because she does not have a background and she did not go to fashion school, so it is when you go to fashion school that you become a designer.
Olivia stated that she insisted she was a tailor and her husband would flip, asking if she knew who tailors were. She noted that she told him those people do good work and he should not despise that, explaining that if you go back in time, it is tailor high streets anywhere, and if you look at the people that have been running tailoring for generations, they do not call themselves designers because the guys that do suits have pride in their craft as tailors and it is a lot of good work.
