According to a recent video by Morayo Show on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, Popular Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji has opened up about the religious challenges he faced before marrying his wife, fellow actress Mo Bimpe, and how he personally convinced her father to accept their union.
In a recent interview, Adedimeji revealed that his wife initially rejected his phone proposal, saying, “I can’t marry a Muslim; are you okay? My daddy won’t even hear that” . Undeterred, the devoted Muslim actor requested to see her father.
The couple travelled to her village during a festival, where Adedimeji met with her father, promised to take care of his daughter, and asked for her hand in marriage . The father agreed to pray over it, eventually giving his consent.
The actor maintains that love and mutual respect have been the bedrock of their successful interfaith marriage, transcending religious differences .
