Popular Nollywood actress, producer and director, Shola Kosoko Abina has revealed in an interview with Oyinmomo TV on how her husband understands the demands of being an actress.
She said, “If you have a man that is very understanding and understands the movie industry; before I became a well known face in the movie industry, I had met who I wanted to marry but I was not yet popular. I can count the movies I did then before the limelight. So, my husband understands our work.”
When asked how she manages her work with other things, especially her home; Kosoko emphasized how her husband has been so supportive and encouraging towards her.
“Sometimes producers might say we’re spending a week on a particular project but something unexpected could happen on location like rainfall; which is not the fault of the producer.
“One thing or the other could cause a delay. This would lead to the increase of days you’ve already agreed with the producer. Sometimes it can be very painful because you already have plans for some other things you want to do.
“By the time I tell my husband that I have to stay 2 or 3 more days at the location, even if I complain, he would say I should calm down because if I don’t stay, it would affect the work. So it’s my husband that encourages me to work because me too I’m a producer, it can happen in my production as well.”
She also narrated how her husband was very instrumental in her first movie production.
“My husband really understands the nature of my job. In my very first production, he was the one that found about 80 percent of the house we used in the film. My husband supports me very well, if not it would be difficult for one to succeed in the movie industry…..See More
