The Rivers State governorship candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Nature Kieghe, has said his campaign for the 2027 election will focus more on ideas and good plans rather than money or vote-buying.
Speaking during an interview on Channels TV, he explained that his decision to contest is driven by a desire to bring change to the state, especially for young people. According to him, many voters are now tired of situations where politicians only appear during elections and disappear afterward without keeping promises.
Kieghe said he believes Rivers’ people are beginning to look beyond short-term rewards and are more interested in leaders who have vision and a strong record of impacting lives, especially among the youth. He added that his motivation comes from his connection with young people and his belief that they deserve better opportunities.
He also stated that the PRP stands a real chance in the election because, in his view, elections should be won through ideas, not through violence or financial influence.
The candidate emphasized that his campaign will promote peaceful and issue-based politics. He said it will focus on values, development plans, and practical solutions to the challenges facing the state.
Kieghe concluded that his approach is about building trust with voters through honesty and clear plans for the future, rather than relying on money or force.
