According to a report by Aljazeera News on Friday, April 3 2026, US President Donald Trump has escalated his rhetoric against Iran, declaring that the United States military has not yet begun to fully destroy the remaining infrastructure of the country. His comments came after a US strike destroyed Iran’s largest bridge.
Iran’s former foreign minister Javad Zarif has urged Tehran to declare victory in the conflict and move quickly to negotiate an end to the war. He outlined a possible blueprint for reaching a settlement with the Trump administration on terms that would be acceptable to Iran.
In retaliation, Iran announced a series of attacks on targets across the region. These included strikes on US-owned steel plants in the United Arab Emirates and an arms factory in Israel.
