A distressed widow has raised serious concerns over the disappearance of her 7-year-old son, alleging that he was taken from her without consent.
The case was brought to public attention during a broadcast on Brekete Family, aired on Human Rights Radio 101.1. Speaking during the program, the widow explained that her son was taken from her despite her refusal.
In her words, “Some people took my 7-year-old son from me against my will, and I have not seen him for months.”
According to her account, the incident involved a non governmental organization that reportedly collected children from the community. She alleged that community elders and members of her late husband’s family pressured her into allowing the child to go, even though she objected.
She stated that the event took place at a local palace, where several children were reportedly handed over. Since then, she has had no contact with her son and does not know his current condition or location.
During the broadcast, a representative linked to the palace acknowledged that the location was used for the handover, although he stated that he was not present at the exact time the children were taken.
The host of the program expressed concern over the situation and called for clarity regarding the whereabouts of the children. He also urged those involved to provide information that could help reunite the affected families.
The widow is now appealing for assistance, hoping that public attention will help locate her son and ensure his safe return.
