I Don’t Have Special Diet, If You Give Me Amala, I Will Eat, Serve Me Eba, I Will Eat -Violet Ladipo

Oloye Violet Iyabode Adebola Ladipo, a legendary Nigerian entrepreneur and matriarch of the Ladipo family of Lisabi Mills, has shared insights into her lifestyle, daily routine, and modest approach to food, saying she prefers simple habits that keep her healthy, active, and mentally grounded.

In an interview with THE SUN, Oloye Ladipo spoke about how she maintains her wellbeing in old age, explaining that her lifestyle is guided more by discipline and moderation than by strict rules or modern wellness trends.

She revealed that she begins each day with light physical exercises carried out in her room, a routine she developed from her younger days in school. According to her, the exercises are not intense or complicated but are enough to keep her body active and flexible.

She noted that while she does not force herself into daily workouts, she makes sure she moves her body every morning in one way or another. She added that she avoids overexertion and listens carefully to her body to avoid strain or unnecessary stress.

On her diet, Oloye Ladipo explained that she does not follow any special or restricted eating plan. Instead, she prefers traditional Nigerian meals and believes in eating what is available, as long as it is consumed in moderation.

She emphasized that she has lived most of her life eating simple local foods without complications, and she does not see the need to adopt foreign or complicated dietary systems at her age.

According to her, “If you give me amala, I will eat. If you serve me eba, I will eat and drink water. No, I don’t have a special diet.”

She explained that her approach to food has always been straightforward, and she believes that balance is more important than strict dietary rules. She said she avoids overeating and ensures she drinks enough water with her meals to stay refreshed.

Oloye Ladipo added that consistency in simple habits has contributed significantly to her long life and continued strength. She said people often overcomplicate health matters, whereas discipline in small daily choices can make a lasting difference.

She also spoke about the importance of peace of mind, stating that emotional stability and a calm environment are just as important as physical health. According to her, stress management has played a key role in her longevity and overall wellbeing.

The businesswoman and family matriarch further advised younger generations to avoid excessive lifestyle pressure and instead focus on balance, moderation, and gratitude for everyday life.

She stressed that natural living, combined with respect for one’s body, is more sustainable than chasing complicated health trends that may not suit everyone……See More
