According to The Times of Israel, U.S. President Donald Trump has once again drawn global attention after claiming he played a role in easing tensions between Israel and Lebanon.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said he held separate conversations with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, adding that both leaders had agreed to a temporary ceasefire aimed at reducing hostilities.
He stated that the two sides had consented to begin a 10-day truce starting at 5 p.m. EST as part of efforts to restore calm.
However, the claim was quickly met with uncertainty, as Lebanese officials reportedly denied that any direct negotiations with Israel were underway, raising questions about the credibility and status of the supposed agreement.

He further highlighted what he described as his track record in resolving global conflicts, expressing confidence that this effort could become another success.
