APC: Once I Was Blind Now I Can See, I Was A Saul And Go Gave Me Ability And Grace To Retract -Melaye

During an interview on AIT News, Dino Melaye explained why he left the APC and joined the ADC, using strong religious and personal comparisons to describe his decision.

He said that while he was in the APC, he did not fully understand the situation around him, but now believes he has gained clarity. He compared his experience to a transformation, similar to someone who moves from darkness into light after realizing the truth. He also likened himself to Saul in the Bible, who later became Paul after a life-changing moment.

Melaye argued that people should accept that individuals can change when they realize they are in the wrong environment. According to him, it is normal for people to make big life decisions and later discover they made a mistake, just like in relationships or other personal choices. He stressed that recognizing such mistakes and taking steps to correct them is part of human growth.

He described his former party as a place that does not reflect responsibility, adding that his decision to leave was guided by a better understanding of his surroundings. He believes his move should be seen as a positive step rather than something to criticize.

In his words, “Once I was blind now I can see, Paul was Saul, on his way to Damascus he saw light and became Paul. I was a Saul until I understood I was in a evil company, and God gave me the ability and grace to retract.”….See More
