Melaye: I Saw A Video Where He Was Coming Out Of His Mansion With Many Cars, Flaunting Them -Alancha

In a recent interview on TVC News, Dominic Alancha, Chairman of the Northern Ethnic Nationalities Forum, spoke during a live discussion where he shared his views on political conduct and public perception ahead of the 2027 general elections.

During the interview, Alancha stated, “I saw a video where he was coming out of his mansion with many cars, flaunting them.” He used the statement to criticise what he described as the display of wealth by some political figures in a time when many Nigerians are facing economic challenges.

He referenced Dino Melaye, noting that such public displays could send the wrong message to citizens who expect humility and service-oriented leadership from those seeking public office.

Alancha argued that leadership should be defined by sacrifice and commitment to improving the lives of the people, rather than by material display. According to him, political actors must be mindful of how their actions are perceived by the electorate, especially in a period where trust in leadership is a key issue.

He explained that Nigerians are becoming more politically aware and are increasingly evaluating leaders based on their values, conduct, and ability to connect with everyday realities.

The forum chairman also linked his remarks to the broader political environment, stressing that the credibility of candidates in 2027 will depend not just on their policies but also on their personal example and public behaviour.

Alancha further emphasized that the electorate is likely to favour leaders who demonstrate empathy and responsibility over those who appear disconnected from the struggles of ordinary citizens.
