In a recent interview on Happily Together, Mr and Mrs Chindusu Haruna shared their 24-year journey of marriage without children and the emotional weight that has come with it. Speaking from their home during the conversation, the couple opened up about societal pressure, painful experiences, and the strength that has kept their union intact.
Mrs. Haruna explained that the struggle to have a child did not happen overnight. Over the years, they visited different hospitals and tried several treatments. At one point, she left her job to focus on a strict medical routine that required daily injections for a month. The couple invested heavily in medical treatments, but the results did not come as expected.
Beyond the medical challenges, she described the social difficulties she faced. According to her, some people prevented her from touching or holding their children.
