The Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, has declared that the period of political conflict is over, urging his supporters to embrace peace and unite behind the coalition he now identifies with. He said reconciliation is necessary to move the state and its political family forward.
Speaking in a video posted on Symfoni on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, Fubara said he has returned to what he described as his political family and appealed to his supporters to give their full backing to the coalition. He expressed confidence that the new phase of unity would create greater opportunities for everyone involved.
According to him, “I am already in the family. I’ve gone back to our family. So please, wherever you are, give your total support to that coalition. We need to move forward. The time of war is over. It’s a time of peace. And this peace is taking us to another level. What you lose here, you’ll gain in another place.”
The Rivers governor urged his supporters to put political differences behind them and focus on the future.
