According to a recent video by Behind the Fame, Fausat Balogun has opened up about the dark truth of early Yoruba theatre, beaten by her father, starving with no money, forced to steal food to survive, while others used shortcuts to rise. She also recalled the pain of throwing a party where no invited guest showed up, revealing that she now prioritizes attending events for those who support her.
Now, as president of TAMPAN’s women’s wing and head of Kafata, Balogun has declared her ambition to become Minister of Culture. Her first act, she said, would be to gather all women nationwide for a compulsory meeting to restore cultural values.
“I will ensure that people start dressing decently,” she stated, clarifying that trousers and gowns are allowed but must not be revealing. “Anybody that refuses to follow the rules will be sent away.” Balogun insists her leadership experience has prepared her to enforce this policy, vowing that Nigerians will see many changes under her watch.
