Lauretta Onochie, a Chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC and former presidential aide has taken to her official X handle to shower encomium on the Supreme Court for standing by the truth.
According to the statements which were shared on her official X handle on Monday June 22nd, 2026 she pointed out that no one thought the apex court will stand by the ADC against what she believed was injustice.
Her comments came amid the heated arguments that trailed the recent judgement delivered by Justice Peter Lifu of the federal high court, Abuja ordering INEC to deregister the ADC and four other political parties.
Lauretta Onochie, widely admired for her outspokenness, pointed out that the stance of the apex court on the case involving the ADC indicated that the party was in charge.
She further urged their supporters not to be dismayed, pointing out that the reactions from the people also was an indicator that the ADC was well accepted.
The appeal court, according to Lauretta Onochie, rose up and spoke with one voice against the judgement of Justice Peter Lifu, an act which she believed was a good omen for the justice system.
However, she maintained that while some unscrupulous elements were bent on negating the giant strides achieved by the ADC, the party remained resolute on delivering on their promises to the people.
The All Progressive Congress, APC were also not left out of Lauretta Onochie’s scathing attack as she maintained that the party was not only compromised, but bent on subverting due process.
