Nigerian singer, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has challenged members of the All Progressive Congress, APC not to be violent in the forthcoming governorship election in Osun state.
This statement was contained in a post that he shared on his official X handle on Thursday, June 4, 2026.
This is coming after the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, announced that the Osun state governorship election will be held on August 15, 2026.
Davido made the statement after the Chairman of Accord Party was allegedly shot by gunmen in Osun state.
In the post that surfaced online, the singer said if truly the All Progressive Congress, APC is popular, the party should avoid violence during the election. He said people must not contribute to the insecurity in the country.
